Eligibility
Eligibility for the CEO Prior Learning Assessment is currently limited to those individuals that have been accepted into the University of Waterloo International Optometric Bridging Program (UWIOBP) and those qualified candidates that have been referred by the Ordre des Optometristes du Quebec (OOQ).

Schedule
The next scheduled administration of the UWIOBP PLA will be held in the School of Optometry building at the University of Waterloo on:
 

Registrants are expected to sign in at 8 a.m. with
 the assessment commencing at 8:30 a.m.

Fees
The fee for the Prior Learning Assessment is $950.00 Cdn. payable by personal cheque, bank draft or money order.

Language Options
The UWIOBP Prior Learning Assessment is currently administered in English only. The PLA is also available in French to those qualified candidates that are referred by the Ordre des Optometristes du Quebec (OOQ).

Registration
PLA Candidates wishing to register through the Ordre des Optometristes du Quebec are asked to contact the OOQ directly.

Those wishing to register for the UWIOBP PLA are advised to:

• Complete all sections of the CEO PLA Registration Form
• Sign the registration form indicating understanding and agreement to the terms of the assessment
• Enclose a passport-style photograph signed by a recognized Guarantor to verify your identification
• Enclose payment for $950.00 (Canadian Dollars) made payable to Canadian Examiners in Optometry
• Enclose a copy of the letter confirming your acceptance to the University of Waterloo International Optometric Bridging Program (UWIOBP)
• Send your completed registration form, payment, identification photo and UWIOBP confirmation to:
